About the role

Due to our overflowing pipeline of work we have a vacancy for a Site Supervisor. This role is responsible for the day-to-day management of a commercial fit-out site including directing subcontractors. We have a strong office-based team of Contract Administrators, Project Managers and Designers to support you and to guide you, on the job, in Valmont processes and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all sites are set up in a professional manner with safety aspects taking high priority
• Direction and monitoring all site contractors and deliveries during the project
• Engage in regular communication with PMs and the Construction Leader to ensure relevant and up to date documentation is on site
• Understanding and monitoring of OHS and environmental requirements
• Actively participate in solving problems and make recommendations for resolution
• Daily monitor and report of site activities and costs
• Communicate and engage in construction detailing and development
• Ensure works being completed are completed to Valmont’s quality standards
• Communicate with and develop relationships with Building Managers

What we are looking for

• completed your Carpentry Trade or have a Building and Construction Degree or Diploma
• QBCC Licence
• previous relevant experience in Site Management or Leading Hand roles
• must have 2+ years’ experience in commercial fit out projects to be considered for this role
• a desire to be site based
• an absolute passion and proficiency to succeed and deliver with quality and safety always in mind
• experience using the project management tool Procore (desirable but not essential)
• attention to detail,
• high level of organisation skills and
• knowledge of OH&S requirements
• Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
• legal right to work in Australia
• a Construction White Card
